We are planning to move to Brisbane in June 2011.
We have 2 boys aged 9yrs and 3.5yrs at time of move and are considering Carindale, Burbank and Surrounds.
We really wanted a safe, family friendly suburb where the kids can play out together after school.
We also wanted a spacious garden with pool, we will rent for first year and would consider buying plot and building own...would these areas cover the wish list???
    Any info would be great.

    Hey

It depend on what you want, you can get a nice house with a pool in most suburbs, how close do you want to be to the beach, the city, work etc.

    thanks

    Hi Amanda,
We have narrowed down to Carindale and Burbank as hubby will be working in Greenslopes and we had selected a few schools after chatting on PIO so these suburbs are sort of in between both and in between city and beach/coast so thought would be most convenient.
Although I understand Brisbane doesn't have much in terms of beach...except Raby Bay area.
Hubby went over last week and said they are nice areas but just wanted to check if safe and family friendly feel esp for kids.
Also if you get much land available to self build in these areas.
We would be open to check out any other areas surrounding too...just want to try and get the place right to help the boys make friends quickly and settle as eldest is not too keen on going at mo:frown:
    Thanks
