Hello all, we are new to this site. We moved to Adelaide in January this year but are now considering a move to Brisbane for work.

We have seen a lovely house in Carina that have everything that we want, however, the price seems to be a bit on the cheap side for what the property is and we are worried whether this is because they area is not too good.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this area we are a little nervous to get too excited as we made mistakes on Suburbs in Adelaide when we first arrived and dont fancy doing it again.

We are looking for everybody's opinions we know that poeple have different things they like from others, but we are just looking for general advice to help us make the right decision.

Hiya welcome to the site ,i have a friend in Carina and its not bad ,but there are nicer places. Holland Park and Carindale are other popular places not too far from there. You can normally tell as soon as you drive through an area if it will be for you, i would just drive all over when you arrive ,you will find somewere that 'feels' right then.

Id stretch a tad more and opt for Springfield Lakes over Camira,lol, much nicer and a great new shopping complex,good schools ,uni etc.Lovely family area.

We are on Flagstone Estate ,on the outskirts of Jimboomba ,my little happy medium, 40 mins to brisbane city or 50 mins to the beaches of surfers paradise ! Shops and schools on the estate and big dept stores 15 mins away.
Hope this helps a bit in the suburb minefield,lol
