  1. Hi all, we're new to this site and have had a manic few months! Hubby has a job in Murarrie and heads off on the 17th of July, got his visa- kids Ozzie passports are on their way but I'm left here with the kids desperately trying to sell our house/car. The market is dreadful here and were not even getting any viewers now. Going to get everything boxed up and shipped over and move in with my mum in-law. I'm trying to carry on working but i'm so stressed, were both thinking we've made a mistake. It's all happened in the space of 3 months, HELP  any kind reassurance or advice would be muchly appreciated.
Thanks Jodie, Steven, Euan 10 and Ellie 5

Sorry but i don't think there is any advice apart from the usual drop the asking price or rent. Our house is going through after a £25,000 drop but as it's not signed yet we,re on tender hooks.
All i can say is good luck ,i hope it comes good.

    hi hun

you poor thing - how is it all going!! its such a stressful time when you are making the move - i cant imagine how hard it is for every one at the minute not being able to sell their house.

As for your question have you made the right choice - only you can answer that! But what I can tell you from my own experience - YES you have definatly made the right choice and as hard as it is to make the move and re build your life on the other side of the world - it is sooooo worth it

good luck and give us a shout if you need any thing

    Hold On

Just hold in there and look on the bright side. We are in the same boat in trying to sell 2 houses, ours and my daughters. Both my girls are now in Nerang on the Gold Coast and are loving every minute of it. Yes it was stressful leading up to the move and when first settling in but they wouldn't come back to the UK and I don't blame them. My girls are happy and my grand-children are happy and that's all that matters.

I dont think i would have coped if i had gone through this nightmare after all the stress of the visa.As the others have said ,hang on in there, lots of people are affected by the property market at the moment which is why so many are renting them out. Keep smiling though ,ive noticed things are starting to move slowly. We are always here if you need to let out some frustration, lol

    Hi Jodie
We are in the same possition as you are, we have dropped our house by £35000 & we haven't had one person come to view it. As every one say's you aren't the only one is this possition, keep your chin up, it will be well worth it in the end.
    Good luck
