This one's aimed at all but especially you cal.

Got here to brissie and loving it to bits, spending for to much time up in Noosa etc and looking at moving that way.

I have the chance of a job in the area and would love to know what U caboolture and surrounding areas are like for price and family life.

I assume u'll be slightly biased Cal but prices would be good.

You never know we could be your neighbours - and believe me u would wish that with my kids. around coluondra, cabolture up to noosa ish would be fine. Got bike license so a fireblade wont take long to get anywhere.!!

    spk soon

Hiya Guys glad your loving Brisbane or should i say Noosa, you will spoil yourselves going their first, lol.
Caboolture like anyway has good bits and bad bits, you can tell by driving around there what i mean, some houses just look a little tierd and in need of some TLC.

Redcliffe, Mango Hill, Petrie are quite nice areas, before we arrived we thought we would move to Deception Bay but when we arrived and had a look around it just wasnt for me, however we are all different so its still worth a look. Kallanger is another area the aussie's don't paticually rate but when i have been it didnt seem to bad.

I think the trick with a lot of places is to have a drive around of an evening as well as during the day and also grab any local papers you can to see what goes on around there. If you will need schools drive past the local schools at throwing out time, lol and chat to some of the parents if you can, nothing like getting the info from the horses mouth!

For prices the best guide is real estate.com.au dont forget to select rent or buy before you search.

Glad to see you have your priorities in order and the Blade has arrived, might have to get my Bussa out the garage and show you how its done(if i had a bussa in the garage, lol). Watch them cameras and speed police Steve they are really on the ball.

Not sure about the meets, i'm semi retired from them now, lol, yell if your ever down this way though and if i'm about the kettle will be on!

  3. Feel like I'm wading in on a private conversation but here's my 2 cents worth..

If you love Noosa (and who doesn't), check out Perigian Srings for new development, design your house, buy your land... slated for many years with excellent infastructure re schools, shops etc and excellent road systems.

If you don't want to be so close to Noosa, consider Beerwah or any other like hinterland 'village', If work times permitted, I'd live in Buderim, or Mountain Creek.

There should be no need to live in Caboolture or Kallangur, with North Lakes offering a similar price alternative, with far better infrastructure re schools, shopping etc

Redcliffe is going through 'Rejuvenation' which means it's currently pretty tired looking, particularly if you look away from the Sutton's beach 'beautification'.

For easy access to Noosa, but living nearby, you need to stay fairly close to the highway. Every minute away is lost fishing / beach time LOL

Remember, when you move to an area you get neighbours, those that live nearby, and those that use the same things like shops, restaurants, schools. Aussies may not have the greatest taste on earth, but there are reasons as to why some areas are less favourable to live in than others. If you fish, live in an area where others fish! If you love going to Noosa, live in an area of similar type people!

It's not the area, or the housing, but the values that your future neighbours hold that needs to fit yours. Pride of community, friendliness, employed (or not), aspiring for a better life etc...

    Happy hunting
