Hi, are there any old cable or sky engineers that have moved or making the move to OZ, if so could do with some advice and if there is much of that type of work over there, I here there are new towns and suburbs going up all the time and that there is a big push to get broadband to everyone over the next ten years, if so are they not crying out for people to connect all these properties?

 

I would say with all the development that there would be jobs - I mean there must be!

I think a lot of satalite installers work as sub contractors to the main contractor. So it may be hard to find a job until you arrive. You may have to consider doing another job, until one for your skills turns up.

I have found a couple of forums about cable installers who have moved into aerial installations, I do not know if you need a license to do this work, but they are charging $300 to $500 for an installation. That’s about all I can find in your line of work.
