We're in the process of buying some land , whilst still in the UK , and have just had a thought about insurance! Does anybody know whether we need to insure the land ?
We don't intend building for at least a year!
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

    Hiya
Im not 100% to be honest,, but if the land is fenced and gated it may be worth insuring against storm damage, if not its tempting to leave it until you get some kit on the land(most people put a big container on to keep building materials and tools safe).

    Hi,

Thats an interesting question and it's one I have never seen asked before, I would agree with Cal about possibly insuring fencing for storm damage. If its not fenced then I have been trying to think what you would be insuring against, flood or fire the land would still be there. I suppose if it has Trees on the land you could insure against clearing them away if damaged in a storm, or possibly damaging other property if they fall.

It would be interesting to see what others think.
