Newbies - yeah sorry!!! Just wondering if anyone has a heads up on how the building tradies are doing in QLD?

We are currentley in SA and not settled at all. Our dream all alone was to live in QLD but was was offered a job in SA so took that.

Daughter has settled into school but says shes bord! and wife is struggling to make new friends.

mate im a bricky an since new year the wrks really dryin up due to this world reccession iknow lots of brickies an other tradies sat at home at the mo. im not sayin you wont find work but just be wary good luck

i'm a brickie too, sat at home in north brisbane. been getting paper at 5am and if a job is in there its gone. depressing. told my mate who was coming over not to bother for a while.
