    does anyone know if british qualifications are accepted in australia (city and guilds and h n c )

    Hi,

    What sort of recognition are you after, for work or further education.

    If it is for work a lot will depend on the type of work and you may need to get local licenses or have your skills assessed for Australian standards, if for further education then it will depend on what you are after, some colleges/uni accept certain qualifications, but its impossible to give a concise answer about are they all accepted.

    hey srp, it is probably for both ,im a bricklayer but i decided to get a few qualifications to do with bricklayers work ,(city and guilds ),and just to proove i am legit in my line of work ,,,but also latley i did a hnc in construction in the evenings just in case i want to get onto another higher course to further my education even more ,say for example a hnd or degree course,, and i was just wondering as long as i have the qualifications with me will aus education system have their equivilant of that,, and just switch it over

    With these questions you would probably be better asking on our other site PIO you will find bricklayers and people in the education system on there and they would have far more experiance with qualification recognition.
