My girlfriend and I have been in Brisbane for a year and a half and although we have made a couple friends we have been finding it difficult to meet new people. I'm 40 from the UK and she's 29 from Perth. I lived in Perth for almost 2 years before moving to Brisbane and found it very easy to make new friends there and built quite a large social group. I've found Brisbane to be a lot different and friends harder to come by.

 

Yeah it's quite difficult to break into existing circles of friends - especially at our ages i think as people don't seem so keen to let you in. Where abouts are you guys living?

 

We're living in Nundah. I work in Spring Hill and Alicia works in Ascot.

Just thought I would pop on and say Hi, Hubby and I have been here for almost 6 months now, we're based in Everton Hills and have 2 children who are almost 2 and almost 5 and are originally from nr Liverpool, I love motorbike racing, football, socialising and music and Hubby loves playing guitar and is currently a stay at home Dad while I work fulltime, we have met a few lovely people through PIO but would like to widen our circle of friends.
