    Hi Welcome to BIB,

if you are just at the stage where you are thinking of moving to Australia then i would suggest you do a couple of things first.

Have a word with a couple of agents to see what visa you would be able to obtain and what the time scale is for the visa. (Go Matilda and Visa Bureau are two respected agents) You do not have to use an agent but it does not hurt to ask what is available to you.

Your husband may have to have trade tests or recognition of his skills to obtain a visa. so its best to ask an agent what might be needed.

Once you know what visa you can get and the timescale involved in obtaining that visa, then you can start to decide what you want from the area you will be living in. things such as

    Schools,
    Shops,
    beaches,
    City Life
    Rural life,
    commuting times

It is possible your husbands skills are not needed in some states but are priority in others. Good luck with your proposed relocation i hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Please feel free to ask questions, if we do not know the answer we may be able to point you in the right direction.
