Everything is done and lodged and I should be getting my visa for QLD soon

Can anyone give me a more up to date idea on the work situation for brickies coz the posts i've read are a bit out of date

Construction work across QLD is slow at the moment ,just keep your eye on the jobs paper as some areas are still ticking over.

Things have picked up a little in the last few months and jobs are out there, just not as readily available as they were a couple of years ago. Highly populated places like the coast or city are still a bit scarce with vacancies so it may mean abit of a commute if you choose to settle in one of these areas, until you find something nearer to home.
