    Hi.....

We are flying on the 31st of October and looking at moving to the east side of Brisbane so commutable to central Brisbane, the coast and Tingalpa for my sons football.

Is anyone moving around the same date or currently live on the east side that could recommend areas it would really be appreciated as we haven't a clue?!!

We have 3 children, son aged 9, daughter 3 and 8 weeks has anyone moved with children of similar ages? How well did your children settle into the new school?

Thanks for your help and speak soon

    Shane

Cant help much with the east side of Brissie as I live and work in the west!

However welcome to Brits Shane and family and you`ll soon be here. October is a great time to arrive as it is early Spring and the heat is just kicking in!

    Live in Lota

WE are living in Lota which is not far from Tingalpa. The house prices here in the bayside burbs seem a little bit elevated than other areas such as nearby Birkdale or one's further inland. We love the village lifestyle of Manly.

WE moved over from the top of scotland in April '06 and have not looked back. Love the weather of course. Our kids are too young for school as yet so can't really help you there but if your son is in football you will just as immersed in the community as you ever were.

Hi there we are also from Birmingham, just outside Solihull. Myself my husband and two kids, Nath (7) & Mia (3) moved out here on 6th Sept 2008. We are living in Cleveland which I don't think is far from where you were looking. We have had lots of ups and downs but finally beginning to settle. How are you finding it so far? We have heard that on the last Sunday of the month there is a get together for Poms at the Wellington Tavern in Wellington point. We can't make the Jan one but are thinking of going in Feb. If you need any help give us a shout...Adele

    Hi Borny,

    welcome to BIB,

I do not know if delly&co will respond as the thread is over 18 months old, and they should be settled in and enjoying their new life now, if it all went to plan.

What part of Brum are you from, I am a blackcountry lad myself:biggrin:
