Hello to all Brits in Brisbane from a cold and rainy UK. I thought it would be a good idea for me to become a member as my family and I are hoping to move to Aus in the near future (fingers crossed). We are in the very early stages of finding the appropriate visa that would suit our current situation so I think we have a little way to go yet! At the moment our age is against us as we are over 45. However my husband is an IT consultant and would be the primary visa applicant due to the IT skills shortage in Aus. I would love to hear from Brits who have made the move to Aus recently and their experiences, and if anyone has made the move on an employer sponsored visa or anyone who is over 45 and made the successful move. My husband and I have family in Brisbane and Sydney (although not immediate family) but our preferred place to live would be the Brisbane area. I look forward to hearing from any one soon!
