well i think i have fallen in love with the Kirra/ Coolangatta area on the Gold Coast, hubby goes surfing around here so i have ventured down with the kids a few times now and the place is great. Not as busy and hustley and bustley as Surfers and Main Beach, lovely restaurants and take outs along the front and really friendly people.Clean Beaches, toilets, showers, everything you would want really.
So next time your after a beach day check out Rainbow Bay , Kirra or Greenmount Beach at Coolangatta.

True! Avoid Surfers P at all costs (though there were a few Euro shops that the wife liked).
Caloundra and Maloolaba (that's so hard to spell) seem the nicest locally, so far........
Byron Bay is good too - currents are not as strong cos it's north facing. Go to the southern beach or the one near the lighthouse as they tend to be quieter. It is now just a 1.5hr drive with the new bypass.....

    Hi,

We are planning to visit Byron Bay in July to attend Splendour in the Grass. Any one going for this event? What are the other places that are worth exploring in Byron Bay?

Do you like also to travel to some new places? Here you can find some exotic trip. Could it be dream holiday trip?
