HI all, Is anybody in the same situation as me and have you got any advice??

I applied for my family visa via an agent in August 2008, this was after obtaining all the requirements for a skilled visa with a state sponsership from the Queensland goverment.

At first we were told that a case officer would be assigned to our us in approimatley 4 to 5 months, then just before Christmas we were then told that due to the number of applications for a visa, it would now be 12 to 15 months before a case officer would be assigned to our application.

Has anybody else be told this or in the same situation as my family??:frown:

to be honest mate, I would be checking out the status of you agent by there reference number as if you was getting sponsored by the qld gov then you would have been granted your visa in 3 to 6 weeks!

If DIAC themselves told you this I wouldnt be too concerned. Things do change! My parents did a CPV (different I know to yours). Initally were told 12 months for a visa, it ended up as 18!!

As above poster said, if agent told you this....I`d be questioning.
