  1. Has anyone looked into The Observatory?

We did a quick visit when we were on the Gold Coast before Christmas and thought the place looked fab. Lots of properties for viewing on realestate.au and only 15 minute drive from Robina and Miami. Anyone else checking this place out?

Hi Cal,U responded to Bribie Island ,thanks, we have 2 small girls(10+7) so are looking on the G.C or S.C, but when we where over in 2010 and 2011 the Observatory was or seemed a good place to bring up your kids, are there good jnr schools, bus or train services close by, what are the average prices on a standard 3 or 4 bedroom house in that area,Robina or Observatory...

I be careful before buying and would consider renting for 6 months, it's a typical new estate with prices being lower than what people want......nothing new there! But with it being fairly new of ocurse people pay a higher premium initially and want the same price, have a look at sold prices on the internet. A friend works for a bank and they're nt lending what people are asking as it's classed as a little over priced. There are good junior schools nearby and a choice and different types will suit different kids, over here you'll need to live in the catchment area for the school and put in a request, train station direct to Brisbane is about 5 mins away, 1 20 mins to CBD pm me if you have any specific questions and I'll give you my opinion, bearing in mind I've only been here a month myself
