Hi guys, I know suburbs have been discussed time and time again but we are living in Adelaide and researching the best suburbs to look at when we fly over to have a look around. We were thinking the Gold Coast as came last month, drove around and liked what we saw, we would like to live in a busier suburb with easy access to shopping mall, primary and high school, not a long long drive from a beach.....work isnt too important as hubbie is a electrician so Im guessing will be mobile and driving around everywhere like he does here in Adl. Can someone recommend a few good suburbs on the Gold coast so we may start looking at property prices, I have looked at Robina, Ormeau and Helensvale.....are there any others. Also have read that suburbs around Brisbane like North Lakes, Mango Hills are nice but for us we wanted to be closer to beaches and not more than half hourish to the theme parks. Is there any fors or againsts for living either Brisbane suburbs or suburbs on the Gold Coast???? Any help would be appreciated.

Just had a massive slating when I posted on PIA asking if anyone thought Adelaide was dull lol so hoping I will be ok with this thread:skeptical:

Can i just add that we prefer a suburban estate type place to live with newer houses,we did drive and had at look pacific pines but have since heard its not the best place to move too apparently. Also looked at Upper Coomera or it may have been Coomera (nr Dreamworld), that estate looked nice but again I dont know if its a good area and also can anyone tell us if these are suburbs that are likely to be affected by flooding??

    Hoping someone can help
    Thanks guys

Hi folks, i am also interested in this. We are moving from Scotland in the next few months (2-4) and as yet i haven’t found a job as my AHPRA reg isn’t finalised (mental health nurse). My partner and i have a 4 y/o daughter so schooling and entertainment for her is also high on our list. We have also had some indifferent reports about pacific pines but we really like the houses we have seen on realestate . com. any advice at all would be very welcome.

Thanks for posting this rain an neil
