    G'day guys

We've now booked our flights and so we will be in Brisbane 6th Feb (woohoo!). We're starting afresh so we're not bringing any furniture etc. and we're being pretty ruthless with personal effects so in the main, it will just be books (hubby is a chef so wants his collection of cookery books) pictures/photos (taken out of their frames) and a few clothes/shoes that we don't need immediately (although I am so looking forward to taking the wintery ones to the charity shop!).

Do any of you have recommendations as to company(s) to use for this purpose?
Also, we need some temporary accomodation for the first couple of weeks before we secure a more longer term rental when we first arrive, we would prefer to be relatively close to the city initially, any ideas? (I have seen 2 bed serviced apartments for $650 PW which seems quite reasonable but what do you think?)

Your help and ideas are greatly appreciated!

Hiya we have used Crown twice for shipping a few boxes out and they have been great both times , everything arriving intact and on time.
$650 isnt bad for furnished in the city , you would also be central to explore everything Brisbane as to offer.
    Good Luck with everything
    Cal x

    Hi Mackam Lynne!
I won't hold your wearside roots against you either! I'm originally from North Shields although haven't lived in the North East for about 10 years. We are still undecided as to exactly where in Brisbane we're going to rent, we think we'd rather be on the east side of the city eiither north or south, just so if we want to go to the beach, it's a bit more convenient. We have a few areas earmarked but until we have a look, it's difficult to say.
    Nice to hear from you!
