  1. Hi All

We haven't posted on here for ages as we had decided to move to South Australia.

We orginally liked Queensland but with Neil being a Welder he thought the heat would be too much to work in. We looked at other states and decided on SA. The weather seemed more seasonal and cooler in the heat of summer.

Now time is moving on we have been looking at jobs on the agencies, and for every 10 jobs that there are in Adelaide area, 100 come up for Brisbane area.

Are there really that many boilermaker jobs about? And is the heat really hot, humid muggy heat? Is that why there are so many jobs about - no-one can weld in the heat?

Please, please can anyone help with this? We really have no idea now what to do or where to go for the best!

Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

SA gets a lot hotter than Brisbane in the summer and colder in the winter though you do have the humidity at times here. Been here for 14 months and found last summer bearable. We have fans to keep cool and lots of chilled water

Yes a lot of companies cannot get tradesmen.

And is the heat really hot, humid muggy heat? Is that why there are so many jobs about - no-one can weld in the heat? Our welders don't seem to have too much problems with it though they are sat on their asses most of the time watching submerged arc machines.
