Hi! All,

Moving out to Bris 29th Nov '11 on a 176. Myself (Elaine), hubby (Bill) and three children (Rebecca 15, Alex, boy, 13 and Ben 9). Looking forward to it, busy organising everything at the moment, flights booked (Singapore Airlines), removals done, car shipping nearly sorted, house packing going to plan (on box 110) not much more to follow. Removals export wrapping furniture so have'nt got to worry about that. Cat to export at a later date as we are staying in Ashmore Palms Holiday Village for 8wks until we find a rental and our container arrives so cannot really have a pet there. x 2 budgies have been rehomed. Hubby looking for jobs and sending off CVs so fingers crossed on that score. It's all happening at the moment and the time is ticking by very fast. All good fun, however and the stress keeps the weight off, so good all round really, just one worry really, that all our belongings fit into the container, no worries though what does'nt fit, does'nt go!!! LOL!!!

Anyway, nice to say 'hello' to everyone, you never know we may meet up under warmer skies!!!

Hi! we're off to Brisbane, looking at Goldcoast areas, Helensvale, Pacific Pines etc but also looking in the opposite direction of North Lakes, Mango Hill around those parts. Undecided but will have a good nosey around once we arrive. Staying at Ashmore Palms for 8wks before we secure a rental. Hope all goes well for you, when are you planning your move?

We are old timers Elaine! We left the UK in 2002!!! We are not planning any more moves for a very long time (I HOPE!!!!!!)

It's good you have some ideas about where you want to be. It's good to take the time to drive around when you get here and see what area will suit you and your family.
