Hi all,

We now know that we need to base ourselves within 50km either way of Helensburgh (I know thats a huge distance!!)
We have been looking at secondary education for our Daughter 15, and Son 11, and have picked out a few, I wonder if anyone can give us some advice on 'good' schools. Both kids are fairly academic but Daughter likes sports Son hates it!
We have looked at : Victoria Point SHS, Kingston College, Loganlea,
Marsden, Beenleigh, Windaroo, Ormeau Woods, Helensvale, Coombabah, Pacific Pines and Southport. Loads I know but as we havent been there yet its all as clear as mud! We will base where we live around a good school so any pointers on areas/estates would be great too.
Our biggest disadvantage is that our Daughter will start y11 in January and we arrive probably 2nd week in Jan and so need to start putting things in place before we arrive. I have read somewhere though that schools have a 'catchment' and we may not get a place unless we show proof of residency - this could be difficult as our company put us in serviced accommodation for a few weeks and then we need to find somewhere :-/
