  1. Hello guys,

My name is Rebecca and I am planning to process my 457 visa. The thing is, I went to submit my requirements--- everything that IMMI has listed here: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-workers/sbs/ but I have found out that I had to submit a certificate or letter from a health insurance provider. I think I have missed this one, but after some searching on Google I have found this site that talked about this: http://www.austhealth.com/457-visa-healthinsurance.php

I would like to ask if anyone of you knows the papers that I need to submit to the health insurance provider so they can begin to process/approve my application? Will it take just a couple of days or will it take months? Thank you so much, I hope you can help me.

    hi rebecca.

i did this about 3 weeks ago, flights are booked for this wed. its a quick process after you get this. basically search on google.com.au for 457 visa health insurance. i personally went with bupa very easy to fill in the docs. put in who is to get covered, sellect the 457 visa option, select the level of cover, enter your direct debit bank details and you will be e-mailed the policy within hours, then simply forward that e-mail to the immagration agent. have you had your medical? if not do not worry about it, less than 1% fail the medical.

    very good luck

  4. Hi Rebecca,
Most health insurance firms like IMAN will send through the approval letter for your application within 485 Hours. Key DIAC approved health funds that offer policeis for your 457 visa include:
    • IMAN
    • Medibank
    • Australian Unity
    • BUPA
    • HBF
I have made a comparison table if its not too late but may be useful for some others - http://www.457visacompared.com.au/457-visa-health-insurance/
