I'm a site joiner (carpenter in oz) . We are landing in Brisbane on Sept 11th and stopping with cal for 3 weeks. Cheers for answer, its just made our minds up on fetching a container over as we we're 50/50 but tools alone are worth cost.

We are planning to be on Oz in January ,I am hoping to continue my work as a contracts manager but I am going to take my tools with me as a reserve(my trade is carpentry ). I will shipping my tools across but little else . I have not had any quotes as yet but I am looking at shipping 4 tool vaults full of power tools and 4 large tool boxes . What are you budgeting for your shipping costs ? I have not heard of any import taxes ony that the tools must be clean .(most of mine have been on the shelf for the last years !)
