I have moved from Sumner - there's a good chance I might know her - what is her name? I loved it there too but enough was enough in the end. Miss it heaps!! Just didn't get a good feeling about BB - can't put my finger on it - very different to Sumner School. Sometimes you just know whether something is right or not, don't you?

Sue, we are planning to move to Scarborough - hoping to build. Love it there!

I have no particular plans for next week apart from lots of driving to school and back!! I'm pretty easy about when to meet - looking forward to it!

Jane - I don't know her but I've heard of a Louisa - I'll ask around. Are her kids at Sumner School, do you know? Her boy would be in the year below Alex. Would be so funny if you knew Louisa, her son has just started school (or is it kindy there) recently, not sure which school but I will ask if she knows you.

I accidentally gave out the name of the Facebook Group incorrectly, that was a name I was going to use but it was taken, so the group I've started on there is called 'Brisbane Northsiders with Young Kids', we try to organise meet ups and help each other out.

Look forward to catching up sometime. Traffic to Strathpine/back on a Friday isn't that bad so if anyone does fancy Go Wild Friday arvo let me know.

Hi Jane. If he's 5, he'll be at school as they start on their 5th birthday in NZ! I'm sure I remember someone mentioning a Louisa with twins who was English so it has to be the same person. I shall definitely investigate!

Emma, I had to stay in this arvo as the landlady was coming round so couldn't get to Lake Eden - would love to go another time if you're going.

we are moving to North Brisbane at the end of April from Sydney, we moved over here a year ago and about to do it all again! I have a 3yr old and a 16 month old and would really like to meet up with others in similar situation for coffee and play dates for the kids or socialising in evenings/weekends.

I know how you feel. We moved to NZ from UK 6 years ago then did it all again to here just before xmas - it's not easy, is it? Where in North Brisbane will you be? My kids are a bit older - 6, 12 and 14 so I don't really do any kids' stuff during the day but if you want to meet for a coffee/chat/sympathy some time, then I'll be happy to meet up! I know someone here who moved from Sydney last year (fellow Pom). Sure you'll be in good company!

Hi Kate,

Yeah it's difficult when we have just settled and then have to do it all again but I'm sure it will be fine in the end! We haven't got anywhere to live yet but looking around Bridgeman downs,Albany creek and north lakes areas it just depends what's up for rental at the time we come up. Would be great to meet up when we get up there and my eldest will prob be going to nursery a couple of days a week if I can find somewhere for her which will make it easier to meet for coffees!
