Anyone in North Lakes?

We are a family of 4 (Lee 32, Emma 30, Scarlett 4 and Kassie 2) and moved to North Lakes in November.

Lee works during the week, but I am at home with the girls. Would be really good to meet up with other mums/families in the area.

Hi, we have just moved to Redcliffe a couple of weeks ago and our eldest daughter (Rachel 9) is going to start at The Lakes College in North Lakes in January. I am Sue 40 and there is Chris my husband 38 and Lily who is 3 in March. If you fancy meeting up sometime after the New Year let me know as so far I only know one person who is a friend of a friend! I have got in touch with 3 people who are moving out at the end of January on Poms in Oz so can let you know if we mange to meet up too as they have children around similar ages. Happy New Year.

We are in Bridgeman Downs so not too far from you, I have a boy who has just started prep at Albany Creek, a girl who was 3 in Otober and a girl who is 17 months tomorrow. We moved over from Edinburgh in October although I'm originally from London and my hubby from Australia (we lived in Perth prior to Edinburgh for 8 years). Would also be keen to join in with the meet ups as and when they happen. Jane x

Hi. We've been in North Lakes for a month. We were in chch NZ for 6 years before that but are originally from the UK (though feeling homesick for NZ rather than UK at the moment!). I have two girls aged 12 and 14 at Grace Lutheran College in Rothwell and a 6 year old boy whom I have just pulled from Bounty Boulevard in North and will be starting at Grace Lutheran primary on Monday. I have met no-one so far! Meeting people here seems a lot harder than it did in NZ for some reason - I've been through it all before so you'd think it would be easy! Anyway would welcome a meet up for sure if I'm not too late!! Cheers, Kate

Hope your girls are settling into school ok and that your son settles in well. Why did you pull him out of BB? Would be lovely to meet up. I'm in Bridgeman Downs not too far from you guys. I met Andrea on Friday which was nice. Perhaps we could arrange a meet sometime this coming week or next with everyone.

I have a good friend in Christchurch, place called Sumner, she loves it there (even after the earthquakes).

What dates do/don't suit?

Hi, I am still interested in a meet up and can do either weeks if that ok. I live in Scarborough now but drive over too North lakes everyday to drop my eldest off at school so don't mind where we meet up.

I have moved from Sumner - there's a good chance I might know her - what is her name? I loved it there too but enough was enough in the end. Miss it heaps!! Just didn't get a good feeling about BB - can't put my finger on it - very different to Sumner School. Sometimes you just know whether something is right or not, don't you?

Sue, we are planning to move to Scarborough - hoping to build. Love it there!

I have no particular plans for next week apart from lots of driving to school and back!! I'm pretty easy about when to meet - looking forward to it!
