Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could give us some advice on the Hervey Bay area please? We have 2 children, aged 11 and 5. I am a teacher (design & technology) and my O/H is a coxswain. It looks like a lovely place and there seems to be plenty of amenities but I am hearing a lot (online) about unemployment in the area.
Can anyone give me more info? Are we unlikely to get work?

Hey, I'm kind of new to this website... I looked at a lot of posts on this website and it seems to be a great community...

First of all, I'm moving up to Queensland from Tasmania, my parents and the rest of my family are moving up start of January and I'm staying here while I finish my bar course. The reason I'm leaving is because of the Gay community in Tasmania, everyone just wants in your pants and thats all... I'm gay and I'm hoping that when I move to Queensland that I'm not moving into the same dilema that I have here... I want a relationship not a one-night stand...

Also I really want to make some friends in Queensland because I don't currently have many... I will be moving into a place in Brisbane because it offers the best employment opportunities for my interests. I'm 19 and would love to know what other people think of the situation and if you have any idea could you please make a reply. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Dylan~

Just as the title says really - we will shortly be looking for a rental property in the Brisbane area, ideally in Paddington. Generally speaking, when applying for a rental in Australia I'm aware that demand is high and supply is short, despite this are the agents / landlords open to offers on the rental price? If so has anyone actually managed to get a good deal?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Ready to occupy residences in Kerala have attained fame, among the nature lovers as well as the people who prefer to lead the urban busy life. The builders in kerala get profit from their ventures both near locations revealing the aesthetic beauty of the state and locations which reflect the technological advancement of the state. Luxury resorts and hotels are mostly constructed in calm and serene locations. They mainly target the tourists reaching Kerala. The natives also like to spend their holiday in these places. Amenities like spa, health centers, etc are added advantages that the builders provide that lure the people to reside in.

With the development of the IT industry, the villas, apartments and flats have been in much demand. People relocate in search of a better career and lifestyle to the places where the development of IT is more. Kochi is the most preferred city in this regard. People want to occupy homes near their job locations. The builders also benefit much from providing space for IT hubs, shopping malls and other multinational companies. Villas and apartments are so popular that even the reality shows offer the sponsored villas and flats as their prize for the contestants.
The number of real estate builders is on the rise, thus increasing the competition in the field. Successful are those builders whose projects stand different from the competitor, and brings about a sense of novelty. Most of them experiment changes in the design and interiors of the home. Eco friendly homes, with natural lighting techniques and energy conservation systems are a part of such reforms.

When I was 16 I went to Darwin and it blew me away, getting attacked by a Western brown and catching a Reef Shark aren't exactly the norm for people from where I live.
Think I first came over when the exchange rate was at it's best for us in the Uk, can't get my breath at the cost of rent in some places!

The eight-day week cost the Australian dollar three cents against the pound, making it the second worst-performing of the major currencies (the NZD brought up the rear). A major part of the Aussie's problem was the nervousness about weekend elections in Greece and France and their possible implications for growth in Europe and elsewhere.

The Australian economy itself also gave cause for concern. Purchasing managers' indices for the manufacturing and services sectors were both lower again and further into the contraction zone below 50 on their 0-100 scale. Manufacturing was four and a half cents lower at 43.9 while services slumped seven and a half points to 39.6.

In recognition of economic weakness and falling inflation the Reserve Bank of Australia lowered its benchmark Cash Rate by half a percentage point to 3.75%. It was a bigger cut than investors had expected and it forced them to consider the deteriorating Australian economic picture.

Hi all,

we have recently broken our lease on a fab 2 bed apartment in Kangaroo Point.
The only reason we broke the lease early is because i found a house in Bulimba which was available immediately - most of the friends i have made here in oz live in Bulimba so it made sense to snap the property up, especially when the competition is so high there.
Now though we are left renting 2 properties. ouch!

The property is on Holman St and is minutes away from the ferry stop which makes getting to work in the CBD so easy and quick.
Its a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment with awesome river views. it also has 1 car park space.

the full details can be found here: http://www.realestate.com.au/propert...oint-405342501

Our lease runs till end of August and i think the letting agent would be happy to have some one take over till then or to take out a longer term rental.

if you want any more details please let me know or use the above link to contact the letting agent (lives on site) directly.

thanks heaps
